These scissors are a bit large (25.4 cm). The blades are very sharp and cut well. I first bought them to cut thick carpets. The fleshy scissors have enough strength to withstand any bending to cut heavy material (carpet underlay). This made it easy to cut the carpet to just the right size to allow room for the installation of the carpet to composite floor transition . Very good scissors, strong and sharp. They can also be repeatedly sharpened and adjusted as they become dull. For just a little more than today's $10 scissors, I think I got a really good pair of scissors that I can work with for a long time.
