I bought these to compare to the R41M which is a lower end Klipsch speaker of the same size. There is no doubt that they are much higher quality and sound better overall. But comparing the price of R41M with these, it is not difficult to choose R41M. Both speakers sound almost the same at low frequencies, and the only difference I hear is in the higher frequencies. The speakers are by far not as frontal and bright as in the R41M. They are much better suited to music than the R41Ms, while the R41Ms are more suited to theatrical use. These speakers are much warmer and more balanced. However, they don't sound $285 better (or even $160 more when they're on sale). If budget weren't an issue I would have preferred them to the R41M, but for most of us it's a factor and I would never recommend them to them because of it.
