Review on SR116 Wrap Around Anti Scratch Non Slip Compliant by Aaron Schultz

Once again ruining the $12-$50 sunglass market

Unlike designer sunglasses, these sunglasses actually block the sun's rays. Also, they wrap around your eyes to protect your eyes from windblown dust and dirt in your eyeballs, so this is what you need if you really work/play outdoors. After spending over $200 a pair on the Smith, Oakley, and Spy, it was painfully obvious in direct sunlight that reflective/refracted light hits the top of the lens near the frames of all three companies. Perhaps the frames created a reflective surface just above and behind the lens? I do not know. They preach a lot about anti-reflective coatings, but who cares about surface glare when rays of light pass through the lens and into your eyeballs? In real comparison, this is similar to the rays of light and circles of light that are often seen in amateur photography. Yes. THESE "CHEAP" SUNGLASSES WILL NOT DO IT! I just kept them in direct sunlight - the light rays didn't go through the top of the lens like they do with the Smith, Spy and Oakley models I tried. Another problem with expensive sunglasses is the "parallel technology" of polarization and I could literally see horizontal lines in some of the expensive lenses. Marketing is such a sad thing. I'm also happy with these: MSA Safety Works 10105404 Espresso Glare Gone Polarized Goggles It's up to you to decide which sunglasses are right for you. People say sunglasses are too small because they didn't take temple/arm/lens sizes and base curves into account. I prefer the 130mm temples so they are a little tight but still worth keeping as they sag over time. If you haven't already, take two minutes to explore Luxottica. Happy preparation! = D
