So disappointed. I liked the original Phantoms. They have helped me a lot with my foot problems. They had a foam midsole with a full zip. The perfect balance of support and softness. After wearing the new Phantoms 2 for about 2 weeks I started to experience terrible pain in my calves. I couldn't understand why. Then I finally looked at the shoes. 2 weeks in soles broke just like Altras. (Another shoe I loved but it falls apart after a month). I called the manufacturer and they told me that the Phantom 2 uses a zipped foam outsole with an EZ core. All shoes go with it. It's like walking on quicksand with every step. I am so disappointed. Even more disappointing is to learn that all new Topo shoes will use the EZ core. It's cheap and falling apart.
