Works, but the form factor isn't perfect.
I made this to use my mini PCI connector while I have a graphics card connected to the large PCI connector above. However, this cable hardly works for this purpose. The housing at the ends was bulkier than I thought necessary, making it difficult to connect the two. I also feel that the focus is a bit backwards. I have a feeling that the male end should be square and loose in the female part. I'm not sure if this is the intended use of the cable, but that was my experience.
