High-quality cable, braided, very long and flexible, therefore unbreakable. None of the replacement iPod cables have those little tabs on the sides that you press down on to release the tiny cable clips that hold the cable in place like the original cable did. I see people complaining about different chargers falling apart over time. i understand why If so, I'll update my review. But being able to recharge your old iPods is great. I have a nano that's running out of battery, but I can run it off mains power. I have one of the very old white ones (3rd gen?) where you can hear the hard drive boot up when you first turn it on. I also have a gray S, also old, with a huge capacity. It's just great to be able to use them again and dance around the house without disturbing anyone. Except for my bad dancing.
