Review on Adjustable Tension Curtain Rod - 78-108" Width With Classic Finial By Amazon Basics by Greg Cunningham

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Inexpensive and long tension rod

This is as easy as it gets, people. Needed to hang some black out curtains in my window which measures about 60" across and didn't want to screw into the wall. Many tension rods are smaller than this and I was excited to find a cheap one that would fit.It unscrews like a typical tension rod until you reach just slightly past the desired distance and then you pull it back and jam it in, hence the tension. The first one I bought of this had the tension spring inside unfortunately either snap or become misplaced and it no longer held any pressure. I replaced it easily through Ebay replacement policy and this one has been fantastic, held up for almost a year now!

Pros
  • 7/8-inch diameter rod and 1.4-inch finials with rubber end caps for traction and a sturdy hold; adjustable from 78 to 108 inches
Cons
  • The adjustable width may cause curtains to bunch or gather in an unappealing manner
