I used this to bleach my hair at home (I used Arctic Fox's Bleach please - highly recommend if you're like me and have no idea what you're doing!). To bleach your hair you have to use a plastic or ceramic bowl, so plastic was perfect. I didn't need all of the brushes but the flat brush was perfect for blending and application and I used one of the comb brushes to ensure an even application. The back ends of the brushes are pointed, which makes separating strands of hair very easy. So glad I used this instead of a random bowl and my hands lol
