No, I'm not kidding. If you've tried DIY gel nail kits at home, you're probably just as excited about them as I am. The disadvantage, however, is the paint removal. Unlike traditional nail polish, it's easy to apply and difficult to remove. These nail wraps make the process much easier. I've used a sensationail remover kit before, but the wraps themselves are quite expensive per nail. I like to remove the nail polish every two weeks so I can reshape and trim my nails so it paid for itself pretty quickly at $10 for two sets of foils which is pretty high for me. So, not happy with the pre-made set, I used tinfoil squares and pieces of cosmetic squares as DIY coasters, which I found easy to use and a lot cheaper. I also tried using the little cups that you fill with nail polish remover, but they clamped uncomfortably and used up a ton of nail polish remover. NO winning strategy for me. Then a friend recommended them to me and they are very easy and much more comfortable than the foil and pillow route. I still recommend doing it one-handed at a time, but the adhesive bandage and pad combo is far more user-friendly than any of the alternatives I've tried, and at 18.99/100 bandages they're relatively cheap. If I find I haven't left them on long enough, I can re-soak the pad, re-wrap the strip, and try again. I can't imagine ever using anything else right now.
