I use this to light my frog enclosure and it's perfect. The vivarium is 18 inches high, 16 inches wide and 20 inches deep. (You will need more if you have a larger vivarium.) The plants are growing well. The bar is perfect because it fits between the Viva top and the wooden case and doesn't generate heat, so it doesn't pose a fire hazard. I am happy with the purchase. See the pictures. The first is shown backlit. . Without light to illuminate their habitat, they are more difficult to see and enjoy.
