I purchased this product knowing that it was too big for my Paul Buff equipment. I knew I would have to cut a bit off the edge, I had to cut approximately .25 inches to be exact. Once I made the cuts this ring worked great and allowed me to mount my 48" octobox to my Flashpoint Xplor 600. The reason that I only gave this product 3 stars is because the product that I received was not the same item advertised. The Bowens mount is actually plastic and not metal as advertised. Fotodiox should definitely update the images on their product.
