My tree is dead

I've been buying a living tree my whole life, so I have a good idea on how to buy a fresh tree. I tried this "tree screensaver" for the first time. My tree absorbed water every day. After about two weeks, however, the tree began to turn brown. Now the tree is not absorbing water. The tree is brown and dead so I have to buy another tree for the first time. This product is terrible!
