Review on 🌾 High-Powered NutriMill Grain/Flour Mill for Quick and Efficient Grinding by Danielle Tucker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The poor design of the flour bin cover makes it almost impossible to remove.

UPDATE 9/10/2016 Company contacted about a problem with the lid (see below). They said it was NOT typical and sent me another one that opens and closes quite easily. So I've raised my rating from two to four stars. The other issues I have with it remain, but as far as the grain mills available, it's pretty reliable. In addition, the customer service is second to none. I've been using this grinder for about fifteen months. I also have a Wonder Junior Deluxe hand mill. I bought these because grinding large amounts of grain by hand is a lot of work and takes a long time. The grinder reduces this effort considerably, which is why I was very satisfied with it – at least initially. However, now I'm having some problems with it. First, it's incredibly difficult to husk, even if you run white rice through it to clean it of other grains. Second, the flour comes out HOT. I had temperature readings over 125 degrees Fahrenheit. I was expecting this as the product detail page states a high temperature of 119. However, when ground, the flour takes on a kind of wet dog smell. It probably has very little effect on the flour in terms of nutritional value and doesn't seem to affect baking, but it's a bit off. But the main reason for the two stars is that over time it becomes almost impossible to remove or put the lid on the bin collection no matter how much flour or oil the pods contain. It's always been a bit tricky, but yesterday I finally reached my frustration limit when it took me almost five minutes to pry off the lid after milling the flour. Now I can't throw it in the bin anymore. Hence writing this review. I haven't contacted the company yet, but this is my next step. I will update this review according to her answer. Advantages: quick and easy grinding; grinds to a very fine texture. Cons: Flour gets hot and smells like a wet dog when ground; as already mentioned, cannot be ground into coarser flour: only from fine to very fine; difficult to clean; the cover is difficult to remove.
