Bought two, both give the same results when used with two different PCs. Both drives write at 60MB per second for about five seconds before dropping to 2.5MB per second. This is consistent and repeatable on both drives. Writing from a 3GB per second SSD to a flash drive didn't change anything. I don't see the point of buying a USB 3.0 drive if it's completely unable to sustain 3.0 speeds for more than five seconds before thermal throttling kicks in or the cache is exhausted, causing the speed to drop below USB 2.0 speeds. *UPDATE* I have them. It's been a week now and if I hadn't already thrown away the packaging I would have sent it back. I will never buy a PNY product again. It's incredibly frustrating to have to wait 20-40 minutes for a movie to transfer to these terribly slow drives. A constant write speed of 2.5 MB per second makes these drives almost unusable. Labeling these drives as USB 3.0 is misleading, as they only get close to 3.0 speeds for the first few seconds.
