The weird lacing system broke.
I bought these hiking boots for my son but didn't realize they had a weird lacing system. There is a buckle and clasp at the top that keeps the lace in place. The clasp broke after only wearing it a few times. Of course, the return period has expired, so I don't get my money back. They appear to be good boots apart from the lacing system.
