Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great, fix it and forget about it. BT uses a different connection ID in each cycle.

A++. Went with mc, no ios, seems identical, cheaper compared to the $100 mark. I read that it has to be reconnected to BT 1st every time (also forgot the device), I only use Android. It took me a few times to remember. Seems to be the only downside for BMW 06, Mazda 6 06, 05 Silverado with all major apps on Stereo S21+, 1 Android so far. Said I need 2 different adapters, I don't have them. The cost of one computer is $100, this one costs $60, mc was <$40. Worth every penny, even mc+ which only adds ios to android and wifi or windows bt. Still in evaluation, much to understand with 3 very different systems and applications. 1 car with compatible apps must be simple or 1 for each. I don't leave it on and only use it when needed. Any issues with all of this seem to lie more on the device side of the app. Don't blame that as all BT adapters don't connect to a device that requires the adapter to enter a code. Of course, there's a workaround you haven't tried yet, other than wired USB, which bimmercode says the 06-07 e-series needs to be fully usable. No difference so far, again none of them have been used for anything serious yet. I'm still learning apps as everything is new to me as I've only had a few Chevy trucks and what I've worked just as well for the past 5-6 years is inconsistent other than just reading the DB info. This way you can deal with modules like ABS, Airbag, Transmission and various car/brand specific things. I didn't want to spend a fortune again on 2-3 different adapters that would soon become obsolete, so I did a lot of trial and error research. Helped more than anything and wasted a total of 10x more 50% on apps and adapters. The main problem was the BMW apps. I was hoping for Forscan and many other apps and so far so good. Cars have no problems and even then they paid for themselves and the app was worth the 1st use. 2 weeks later, simply exercising was saving a small fortune compared to the cost of each and every thing I was doing.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive
