I really needed this little air conditioner. We are the perfect location to keep your evaporative cooler running like clockwork. Southwest Colorado. Humidity 20%. 100 degrees plus or minus right now as I write. Got this little baby maybe 30 minutes ago. Sharp look. Seems well done. It has a pair of cotton wicks that draw moisture out of the tank. Read the instructions. Fill the container as indicated. For the "special cooling effect" there was a bowl with ice cubes that were added to the water. Including and .disappointment. A slight jet of moisture is visible at the bottom of the fan and noticeably cooler air is at the bottom of the 1/2" fan. Aside from that, it just blows the same 100 degree air straight at you. Don't get me wrong. It's a good fan, and it's a tiny, tiny cooler that's 2 feet away, but as I said, these are optimal conditions for an evaporative cooler to function, and it just doesn't do its job, far from it. Had high expectations and the return process started as soon as I clicked 'send'.
