Review on πŸ“‘ SureCall SC-NRANGE2 N-Range 2.0 Cell Phone Signal Amplifier by Keith Alvord

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Would love to give it 5 STARS - but a big mistake!

First off I really want to give the Surecalls New MAX Cellular Booster 5 STARS. I like the antenna connections on the FME amp much better than those on the NEW Wilson/WeBoost Drive Reach. Just some background information. Recent Wilson/WeBoost boosters, even commercial ones, now use (BAD, VERY BAD) SMB connectors instead of the SMA they used to use. Traveling with our vehicle to remote/remote areas where there are few cell towers - on and off road (our priority). Several New Drive Reach Boosters failed due to the added weight of the Wilson antenna adapter. Loss of vibration when the SMB boosters are squeezed. (Most of our cars have cellular truck antennas installed, even with this type of antenna, the average RSSI values at most of our locations are in the range of -90 to -106 dB at the amplifier input, so a really good external antenna is a must) (0 -signal no matter which booster gain is zero). Now my problem with SureCall Fusion2Go Max is why 3 stars instead of 5 stars. Fusion2Go MAX only works with the Shark Fin external magnetic antenna that comes with the amplifier. They should have **NOTE** in the description that this amp will not work with any other type of external ANTENNA and with an aluminum truck you will need to use velcro to hold the antenna hence minus 2 stars. Now that I know this, the next replacement booster, which I am installing or recommending for one of our vehicles will be the SureCalls Fusion2Go 3.0 which I have been told should work with existing truck mounted antennas. I hope this information helps someone who may need to use an existing or different antenna. Otherwise, the SureCall Fusion2Go Max Booster works very well.
