I bought a Vesa desktop monitor mount to fit my 43" TV mount but with a small problem: the screw holes were too small for the screws included in the kit . TV manufacturers, at this point, I could return this bracket and buy a very expensive desktop TV bracket, or I could choose this very strong and inexpensive plate. I didn't do this from the start because the metal on the original plate was so thin I was concerned the 16lb TV might end up bending the plate. This adapter plate holds the original plate well and provides strength to the TV to keep the i use m as the main monitor (pro tip if you don't use high refresh rate software on your computer a 4k tv will do for a fraction of the price of a monitor)
