I like the softness on splinted fingers and adjacent fingers. I've used U-shaped metal splints in the past, which irritated neighboring fingers due to their stamped metal edges. Unfortunately I lost that tire somewhere and have to go back to the metal tyres. So when wearing it, make sure the adjustable straps are snug or you might lose it like I did.
