I previously gave this splint a lower rating as I felt I had to extend my palm to get a firmer grip on the splint. I have used other finger splints but none have been as effective as this one. I use it on my right index finger which has been damaged from RA. I'm right handed so should be comfortable. This one is very well made and comfortable. Thick enough to stabilize my finger but not so thick that I lose all flexibility. When I sleep I only use the finger cuff for extra comfort. I've been using a tire for less than a week. This effectively prevented the fingers from twisting towards the palm and greatly reduced the pain associated with it.
