Nice and sturdy but seat too small

This is a very nice, well built chair and was easy to assemble. Only the backrest needed to be installed with 4 screws. The seat however is only 12"x12" which is very uncomfortable. I made new seats out of 3/4" particle board, cut to 14"x14", put 1/2" carpet pad on it, and wrapped it with a faux leather look material. Now it's quite comfortable and I love them!
