It's a good idea to stir the scrub before applying it to make sure you're applying some oils along with the scrub. I leave it on while I apply moisturizer to my face. When I'm done, I wipe it off with a damp washcloth. After that, the lips become very soft. This product is indispensable if you have lip problems.
