I received this dinnerware set a few days ago and I am very disappointed with the overall quality of the items. I have 2 other sets of Corelle Dinnerware that I have had for several years and the newer set isn't even close to the quality of the older sets.Upon unpackaging the dinnerware set, I noticed that several of the plates were scratched due to the foam packaging material not being placed in between each of the plates as it should be. The dinner plates also have defects with the painted design where the the paint was smudged/scuffed during manufacturing. On the dinner plates and the bowls the painted design is not smooth to the touch. It feels as though the clear coat was not applied correctly to them which would give a smooth surface over each piece. Also, there is blue and green paint smudging on the back of of one of the small plates that arrived in the set. None of these plates or bowls should've made it through Quality Control at the Correlle manufacturing facility.The dinnerware arrived in "frustration free" packaging. This would normally not be a source of complaint, but the packaging allowed for some small pieces of gravel to get inside of the box. This led to some of the scratches that were mentioned earlier in the review. One of the dinner plates arrived with a small chip in the back of the plate, most likely from the gravel inside of the box.Aside from the issues with the shipping of the dinnerware set and the overall appearance of the items, all of the pieces in the set arrived in tact. I will not be returning the items, but I would be very hesitant ordering any Corelle product online again.
