Review on 🔧 604-029 HVAC Blend Door Actuator Replacement: Suitable for Chrysler 200/Sebring, Dodge Journey/Avenger/Durango, 68018109AA by Andre Young

Bought to fix a broken actuator before I sell my 2012 Jeep Wrangler. I approved and bought this more as an OEM as it really needed to get rid of the loud clicks on startup and I wasn't concerned about durability. Unfortunately, while it installed fine and fixed the bad drive, it caused ALL NEW problems. This immediately caused the defrost light to flash for about 30 seconds on startup, delaying any airflow for about 30-60 seconds. Then, once the air is finally OFF, the actuator detaches. Sometimes the mix changes, sometimes not. Sometimes the mixture gets in a weird position where it blows too cold etc. at full power on the 3/4 setting. My guess is that the electronics in it aren't compatible with the Jeep PCM and are causing it to behave unpredictably. Basically, it's a cheap fake that has created more problems than it has solved. I saved money and ordered an original spare part. I would like to keep the box as I would definitely return it. Avoid the hassle of doing this job twice, just order an OEM part. Or a piece from a renowned third-party brand.
