I bought these in purple to complement my Bauer Vapor hockey skates. People at the rink have always commented on my laces and I love that they make me stand out on the ice. This is the dark purple color I wanted. So if you want a more vibrant hue, look elsewhere. Waxed laces are very different from the cotton laces that come with skates. When I put them on, I feel (and see) that they stay in place and make my skates tighter overall. new skates (like mine), remember that as you wear them out you can tighten them up so you'll gradually have more laces to tie. This may seem sufficient at first, but do not order one size larger. Otherwise, you'll hang up an insanely large crowd.
