This aluminum three rung ladder is the lightest, strongest and strongest of my four rung ladders. My wife loves the fact that she can reach any kitchen cabinet by standing on the middle step of this Sorfey ladder and she feels secure with the large footprint and handle. I also use the middle step in the kitchen with its 8 foot ceiling because my head would touch the ceiling if I stood on the top step. Therefore, unless you have ceilings over 8 feet, you may only need a two-step ladder. I have a four step ladder because we keep this beautiful new ladder in the kitchen, one in the backyard patio, one in the laundry room, and another in the high bay garage.
