Review on USB Transcend JetFlash 700 64 GB, black by Adam Wojtczuk ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Unsuccessful purchase, I am disappointed.

Probably a cheaper batch (because of the lack of an LED and "dumb" component chips). I paid $750 for it in June of 2022. (Transcend JF700 32gb, usb3.0). A similar flash drive, bought two years earlier, writes 18mb / sec (no stupidity), and its packaging indicates the write and read speed, and the new one indicates ONLY the read speed (this is the catch, study the packaging with the properties of the flash drive!) I took this camera back to the shop where I bought it (two weeks have not passed). They issued a complete refund without question. Not even the staff is aware of this "miracle," a sloppy celebration. Which I truly do hope gets rectified down the road.

Pros
  • 1) Appealing visual presentation is always appreciated. 2) The reputable maker who stands behind their product with an indefinite guarantee. It, to my dismay, started to slip away (details below). Thirdly, while the read speed (95mb/sec) is impressive, the write speed is not.
Cons
  • 1) The slow write speed (3.8 mb/sec), which is not mentioned on the box. Neither FAT32 nor NTFS, nor jerks, are in a rush. That happens in NTFS: the recording begins at 20 mb/s, but drops to 3.8 mb/s with jerks halfway through transferring a two-gigabyte file, making the entire process take a very long time. It takes about 25-30 minutes for a 4GB file to copy itself. 2) It loses its luster when accessed (in Windows-7 Explorer). While looking for "Properties" or making similar inquiries, for instance. Thirdly, the lack of an LED on the casing (sometimes, by the way, this is an advantage and not a disadvantage). Four) Markaya (on the black case, dust and rubs from wearing in an empty pocket are visible).
