I had LOTS of hair tools. I had a similar Jilbère (now ConairPro) dryer in the early 2000s. I love it. I would use it on towel dried or damp hair to add volume and reduce frizz. Then my hairstyle changed, I grew it out and started using an iron more often. But I have short hair again so I was excited to try it. Maybe this one isn't as good, or maybe I remember my old one being better, but I just wasn't impressed. I wasn't looking to dry my hair completely wet. I didn't even aim for curls. I just wanted good volume in the bangs and crown area. I find the bristles of the round brush too hard. My hair got tangled every time I tried to curl it the traditional way. It was like those old plastic hair rollers. My hair didn't like it. And because I couldn't achieve a constant rhythm, my hair became curly. This will probably work better on shorter hair than mine. My hair is cut short, above the chin and at the back of the head. I think Sultra is overrated. I bought Bombshell and was never impressed.
