This is a great way to temporarily mount mini movie projectors. Only a few screw holes in the ceiling, easy to attach when moving or dismantling. It has a protruding screw on the end that screws into the base of the mini projector where the tripod screws into place. Very stable when installed correctly. However, it is very difficult to position the projector once it is screwed to the bracket. The ball that serves as a pivot is not attached. So if you back out the screw that holds it too far (which is necessary to reposition or straighten the projector), both the projector and the ball pivot will collapse! Such pain! All in all, this device serves its purpose for now. But as soon as I've bought an expensive projector, this bracket is history.
