I purchased a toothpaste that is not your typical over-scented, over-saturated and unpleasant product in the US when I came across this seemingly expensive product bumped mark. I tested the compound and found excerpts from studies showing positive results from the National Institutes of Health (and others). I read more about home dental care and remineralization, topical fluorides (no, there is no such thing as "fluoride burn", it's a flavoring. I have a topical fluoride gel, very soft and comfortable) and calcium carbonate. . In the US, fluoride is considered the gold standard, in Japan it's nanohydroxyapatite. I had to try it - and no, not because I think I got poisoned when I applied the fluoride topically. I don't swallow it or try to swallow it. There are many things that are perfectly safe to use for their intended purpose but are not safe to swallow. I ended up doing some more reading - I can hardly call it research - because of some reviews such as: - Toothpaste contains HCl. Yes, the drug is precipitated with HCL, a process used in pharmaceuticals where the drug is difficult (read "expensive") to crystallize. It's written as [active ingredient]โขHCl and has led some people to believe toothpaste contains hydrochloric acid, including one person who openly states that it's stomach acid that destroys teeth, not builds them. Yes, stomach acid is bad for your teeth, as people with bulimia or hyperacidity will attest, but in all likelihood pH is what your mouth needs. The study explains what "nano" means in this context, however, some reviewers dismissed the product as worthless because of the use of the word nano. I agree that the word "nano" is now overused and often meaningless in the US, but in this case it is a description of the size of particles that need to be weighed and then deposited back into their final destination: tooth enamel microtubules. - More than one person gave a star rating in the review because the product intended for Japan domestic market has no English manual. Many of them said they wouldn't dare put something in their mouth if they didn't know what was in it. Even without knowing the ingredients, the refusal under these conditions shows great distrust towards the Japanese regulatory authorities, in this case the oversight of quasi-medical products. (Several customers have responded to requests for ingredient lists, so they're available.) - One woman said she "threw (her) in the trash" because the ingredients weren't listed in English. Again, more distrust of Japanese regulators than I expected, but also a clear reluctance to investigate at all. - One reviewer complained of a thin feeling on her teeth when using this product that was not experienced with her normal routine. Maybe it was the feel of the drug entering her enamel microtubules. In other words, he may have done his job and remineralized her teeth. These statements made me wonder how hard it was to find information in English, and it's almost disappointingly easy. When scanning the QR code in the leaflet, the company's website opened with an English link at the top, but even without information from Google, "premio Apaguardโ found a lot of information. Anyone who is worried about what's inside but is ordering it for some reason should put their worries aside after learning more about it. I've used it for a couple of weeks. I love it, it tastes good without the overwhelming unpleasant taste and I think it subtly helps make my teeth less sensitive. For some reason some people thought it was all about whitening, but it's not. (Some whitening products can damage your enamel.) I don't expect overnight changes, but I brush my teeth all the time, so there are many ways to make this work.
