I bought this to replace an Xgimi H1 that is about 3 years old and I thought the brightness had faded a bit. H1 is rated at 900 lumens. I put it next to the H1 and it outperformed the S6 in brightness and colour. So an older projector with less light output was much better. That being said I bought a stock item due to the cost so it may have been a bad projector. Also, my remote control was not included in the package and you CANNOT find a replacement remote control. I even called several numbers at Philips and no one could help. It is very difficult to operate without a remote control. I cannot recommend this projector.
