*PAIR OF TIRES* Maxxis Radiale 3C Compound 700 x 23 Aramid Bead All Black. This is a new and worthwhile improvement in bicycle tires. This is a high pressure tire, 145 lbs. Maximum. and at the same time radial, you get an optimally low rolling resistance. Traction is better because the radial tire doesn't sag on the surface, and that should mean less wear as well. The 23 is 10 grams heavier than the 22 x 700 and I believe the only difference is that 10 grams of rubber compound is applied to the sides for better buoyancy on the 23c. If you don't do a lot of tight corners and you don't care about 10 grams, then the 22 is for you. I would add that the extra compound gives more protection on the sides of the tire.
