Big cage for my guinea pig. It has room to do laps with or without the platform installed. I'm waiting for the day when she decides to stand on the platform and pee through the bars of the cage. I know it's only a matter of time so I just keep it there in the winter so she has a warm place. Great cage! Easy to assemble and I recommend wire tying the bottom of the hay pan to the cage to keep it from opening and the hay falling out. My reasons for deducting a star from the rating are: 1) You can't open the cage from the top, which would be handy, but obviously the product description doesn't say that, it would just be nice to have that feature. 2) The floor is a little crooked which is a problem because I like to hook the playpen right onto the cage for my guinea pig to jump in and out of, but the corner of the cage leaves a hole for her to squeeze through I always have to again faking things to block it below. 3) every week when I change the sheets and wash the bottom, it gets darker and darker brown. Plastic wipes off fairly easily, but there's always an area you can't clean enough and it gets bigger every week. I had the same problem with other cells.
