Sheepskin lining is very soft, as is the leather upper. They really fit like a glove. I found them a bit narrow when I first tried them on, but that turned out to be a good thing as they are more stable and don't roll underfoot on a heeling deck. However, at this price I was concerned they would be submerged in salt water, which indeed happened last weekend. They dry well, without stiffness. Obviously they are well lubricated with oil and do not absorb water. I've swum in relatively warm weather and didn't notice that they were warm even with a sheepskin lining so that's not a problem. Even the laces are soft and thick, hold the knot well and don't slip like other stiffer laces on cheaper shoes. Highly recommended in place of the standard Topsider.
