I bought a pair of these and then bought them for my son because I really like them. I don't know why there is a huge strap on the back but I cut it off of all the pairs we have. For the price you can't go wrong. I'm not sure why some people are complaining. They are worth their price. If you want excellent durability and quality, pay for more expensive quality shoes. If you are looking for a versatile sneaker that looks great, comes in a variety of colors and is of average quality, then these are the sneakers for you!
