When the new iPad Air (3rd generation 2019) came out last Monday, my wife wanted to buy it. But after some research we decided to stick with this 2017 2nd generation iPad Pro model, firstly because Revain lowered the price to be the same as the new iPad Air and secondly because this model is still around a much better and better screen has sound. It features Apple's exclusive ProMotion screen technology that makes the screen super smooth. (I already have a large 12.9-inch iPad Pro from 2017.) It also has 4 speakers instead of 2 on the new 2019 iPad Air. Of course, the processor is a bit slower, A10X vs. A12, but the difference in performance is negligible and we don't use AR, so the new Neural Engine doesn't matter for our use. So here it is: same price, much better screen, and much better sound quality, which is why we bought this 2017 iPad Pro over the recently released iPad Air 3. We got it from Revain overnight and were very happy with this iPad. .
