When I first received this cutlery holder I was surprised because it seemed too small to hold as many items as I needed. However, I LOVE the design and decided to see how much of my silver would fit. SURPRISE! It had everything I had and room for more! Teaspoons-22, knives-14, tablespoons-14 and large forks-18. And again there is room for more! When I combined some of my small forks, they easily lasted 30 pieces. And I could more than double my knives. Of course, the size of your handles will determine how many people you can fit in, but I'm a medium size and I'm very happy! In fact, I'm going to order one for our caravan too! The size of this design takes up less space but still allows you to place plenty of cutlery. And if you're a "craftsman", just turn the container upside down so you can't see the cutlery imprint and put crayons, drawing brushes, scissors, pencils, etc. inside. Let your imagination run wild ! (I can also see bathroom countertop holders - cotton swabs, mascara, eyeliner, face pads, etc.)
