When I traveled north in the summer I could crate my dog when I had to make a pit stop where pets are not allowed. The strap was too long for me (I'm 5'0") so I had to cut the strap off and sew it back on. It was easy enough to adjust. The only thing that bothers me is that the bottom is rubber. if itself the material heats up.I only used it for a short time so everything was fine.If you need to use it for a long time I wouldn't recommend it.I was glad to have it for travel and will use it again for my trip use in the south!
