Second Time's the Charm

While there are many other memory module manufacturers out there, OWC has been mentioned many times in all the online Google searches I've done when deciding what to do with memory issues with my new iMac. I couldn't decide whether to buy it directly from Apple for a rather high price, save money and install it myself or go with the Timetec brand which I used previously with my latest iMac? The first set of 16GB modules I bought contained one defective module in a group, so I installed each one individually (and repeatedly) until I could figure out which one was defective and not recognized by my computer at all. Some fingers on one hand went numb as I installed and reinstalled. OWC recommends installing them in pairs, but the three working memory cards have worked individually for me on multiple installs. Unlike some other people, I've found that OWC works great with the original 8GB memory cards that came with my 2017 iMac. I ended up replacing all the original modules with 64GB OWC modules and saved over $900! Luckily, the second pack of four 16GB modules I bought came right out of the box with no flaws. I installed all four at once and turned on my computer and it worked great.
