Recently my 2004 Ford F-150 Lariat stopped shifting from neutral to reverse. I had to shift it to park all the way and then back into reverse or neutral. The dealer said the bushing disappeared under the shifter cable/link junction. They don't repair bushings or just wear bushings so they said the entire linkage needs to be replaced. $295 total including labor, taxes and a new shifter (which is $50). I started my research, if nothing I would do it myself or do some rustic engineering to get it back to where it should be plugged in. Then I came across this repair kit. It literally saved me $300. I'm glad I found this and made it myself. It fits and works great on my 2004 Ford F-150 Lariat. Everything works fine, the gearbox shifts as it should. Ease of installation. No problem. Extremely good value for money (cheap). Well made, sits tight and fits perfectly. no worries, 10 year olds can do it unsupervised, it's as simple as that. I would definitely recommend this to anyone replacing switch sockets.
