So I bought two of these little villains for my bedroom. I knew the price was right but I was concerned about the quality. The first out of the box needed some help. On the underside of the plate, the connecting bar has come loose from the side to the plate because the plate's screws have been stripped. It's okay, I drilled a new hole, twisted it and everything is fine. After that the hole went very well. Feels pretty solid but I wouldn't quibble, you might fall or it might collapse under you, don't do it anyway. The second time there were no problems. As long as I like them. I would give 3 stars for quality but 5 for ease of assembly. UPDATE 07/23/2013: These two bedside tables are still in my bedroom. They hold up very well. Again, for the money, you can't go wrong. They held up drink rings without a coaster, had no scratches, and easily held my clock radio and lamp. Haven't tried dancing a jig on it yet, I still don't recommend it. I would buy them again and again if needed. UPDATE 07/17/2014: Another year that's still holding up well! UPDATE 4/17/2017: Well, they're still standing. My side of the bed, you're still in great shape. My wife's (sorry, sweet bunny) side of the bed has rough edges at the top due to condensation dripping down the sides of the water cups. We will likely be replacing them this year due to an overdue bedroom renovation. I'm going to offer them at a flea market this year and I think I can get $10 or $20 for them, if not I'll give them away and someone else can benefit.
