A friend recommended Scout's Honor. I doubted it would work, but I was very surprised! My dog door is downstairs through the "illegal" bedroom/bathroom as this is the only place my dogs can get into the yard unless I poke the dog door through the garage door and then the dog door out of the garage door (not the one for a car) into the yard, which shouldn't have happened because then I couldn't open the garage door and drive my car in because the dogs would run away. In other words, I'm stuck walking through the room below. Well, my dogs (as puppies) completely destroyed a BRAND NEW carpet, gnawed holes in it and peed on it. Once they're out of puppyhood I'll rip out the carpet, clean and seal the cement, put in some tile and hopefully turn this room downstairs into a REAL dog room (like you can watch and drool over at HOUZZ). . via REAL dog rooms). In the meantime I doused the place with Scout's Honor and it got rid of the smell. Of course they have since reused the rug and I have no plans to soak it any further but trust me when I say it works! Unless you have completely destructive puppies, this will clarify and solve your problem - forever. I can't thank my friend enough for recommending this wonderful product! I will NEVER have two puppies at the same time, but if I have another puppy (singular) in the future, he will be ready for a normal (rather than the currently uncommon) training situation.
