The instructions that come with this monitor are about three pages of graphic, not verbal instructions, making them beyond difficult to understand. First thing I found was that the only 'button' on this monitor is behind the Philips logo on the back of the monitor. It's not illustrated at all, so be aware. This monitor's off-axis view is somewhat lacking, which is surprising for an IPS display. It's not that bad, but it's noticeable and definitely worse than my 4-5 year old IPS display. The base is well made though - all metal but I haven't really used it. I use a VESA mount that works great. The instructions don't detail how to remove the "rod" portion of the base when using the VESA mount, but it's easy to figure out. Simply remove the rear cover and loosen the screws holding the stem. All in all, it looks good enough for my purposes.
