This shoe had fantastic reviews everywhere so I went to the local store and bought it. I have slightly wide feet (just not wide enough for a plus size), medium arch and wear supportive shoes due to my particular pronation. about a little at my local shop. The shoes fit well in every way. Arch support felt slightly higher and closer to the forefoot than usual. I figured they just had to chop. I couldn't be more wrong. After a few runs, I got terrible pain in the arches of my feet. Try them on and make sure the arch support is in the right place. Shoes either fit your arch perfectly the first time you put them on, or they never do. If you feel the insole buckle even a little more than you did with your old running shoes, don't buy them. Other than that small feature, this is a good shoe. The Gel-Kayano is a bit more expensive than these but they are fantastic and worth the difference in price and then some. You can't get the comfort and support of the Kayanos even if you put a $50 insole in these shoes (I've tried a few).
