Review on 🎧 Jabra C250 EarWave Boom Headset - Discontinued by Manufacturer (2.5mm Plug) by John Springer

Good headset for those who don't need bluetooth

This is a good product for a 2.5mm headset. The dart is short, of course, reaching about an inch or two from your ear. This is a directional microphone, so it doesn't have to be in front of your mouth. This leads to some downsides as directional mics tend to pick up more road noise than you would like. This is simply unavoidable with any microphone, wired or Bluetooth. On the other hand, this is a very comfortable microphone. The flexible ear cup offers a comfortable fit without compressing the ear and (especially when using the clip on the cable) stays in and on the ear quite well. This product comes with 4 gel ear tips. They are easy to swap out and allow the microphone to project sound directly into the ear canal instead of through a small speaker. This allows you to listen in the car without having to turn up the volume and create feedback echoes when the headset picks up sound through the microphone again. works with my cell phone. This headset does not have its own speaker volume control. You have to turn down the volume on your phone and even then (on my phone) it's still damn loud. Another issue, albeit a small one, is that it works a bit oddly with my phone (I believe the Motorola W510 uses a 2.5mm to mini-USB adapter). After I've spoken to the person, the mic streams the sound it's picking up to my earbud, which gives me a sort of echo in my right ear for about 5 seconds. Verdict: This is a $5 headset. This is a quality headset that quickly becomes obsolete, so the price has dropped like a stone. Buy a $1 2.5mm to mini USB adapter and you have a great headset that will work with almost any phone model (with the possible exception of some Nokias I've heard) . For €5 you can't go wrong.
