I live in Texas and this summer has been HOT. never knew the value of a ceiling fan until our old one accidentally fell off the ceiling. We bought these as a replacement. We live in an old building from 1965. We tried to install it ourselves. after a slight shock of not knowing how to do something like that. We chose Revain's installation service. more expensive than a fan but worth it. Now I get goosebumps indoors when it's over 100 outside, so. I'm happy! The remote control is easy, the fan doesn't make any noise, doesn't swing, the chain doesn't dangle, etc. No signs of it falling from the ceiling :)
