I've been using this docking station for almost two months now and was initially satisfied but over time I've noticed strange things. When transferring large files, the speed of all attached drives fell to 0 MB/s at random intervals for up to 30 seconds and then returned to full speed. I thought, well, at least it works. Then I noticed that when two drives were connected at the same time and I started a file transfer that lasted more than a minute, the drive became completely unresponsive and after about a minute Windows ejected the drive. and I would have to power cycle the docking station to get the drive to show up again. Well, by that point the return window had already expired, so I just took it in stride, thinking I could only use one drive in the dock at a time. Fast forward a week and I realize that the drive I use most in the dock doesn't show up in Windows. I open Disk Management and find that it is not even formatted or has a drive letter. And yes, he was corrupt. I've tried recovery software, but everything that can be recovered doesn't even have a filename assigned, and a project I've worked on for hundreds if not thousands of hours is corrupted. I think I've learned my lesson now and will buy additional drives to back up my data. and I got stuck with this piece of garbage dock and lost $35.
