Edit: I tried to air out all 3 for 3 days. They all still have that smell, the blue one seems like it might air out if I gave it a week or two, but the black and white ones are much worse. They're being returned.I bought one black, one white and one blue of these cases to use as memorial cases. Only the blue one is okay. The black and white ones have terrible smells from the paint and wood. I have them airing out now. The white one is the worst, chips and breaks and splintering all along the frame. Some places are not painted or finished at all. Since the blue one is okay I may re-order the white and black ones, I will look at other products as well.The smell is significant since I have fur clipping, collars and etc that still smell like my furry companions. I also get migraines and have allergies . . .but erasing the last traces of their smell from poor materials and craftsmanship matters far more.
