This appears to be a quality product although it is too early to say how long it will last. But the fan itself is well made, with features that many fans don't have, and certainly not in this price range. So this seems like a very good buy. The first thing you'll notice is how heavy it is when the box arrives. Second, how easy it is to set up - no assembly is required at all, unlike many other cheaper fans that require you to assemble them first. I would have liked more detailed instructions - knowing that all you have to do is push out the foam that clamps in the middle and protects the fan in transit. The fan faces up and is located under the top and bottom. The remote control is taped on the base, so you need to remove the tape and install the remote control with batteries. The battery cover isn't difficult to open, you just have to run your fingernail or something horizontally under it where it meets the body of the remote while pressing the little tab in the corner. If you can't figure it out, ask someone who is used to changing batteries for their children for help, or just ask a child for help. It's not hard, you just have to play around with it until it pops up and you'll see why it's harder to explain than to do. Then you need to be aware that you're not trying to force the fan - you can only move it using the controls once it's plugged in and on, using the remote or the controls at the base of the fan to move it up/ move down etc. There is no way to do this manually - nor is it described in the instructions. It is very convenient to have the controls on the front of the fan base instead of on the side or back like some have in case you lose the remote or need to change the batteries in the remote. You always have the option of having touch controls at the base if needed or desired. As an elderly person with some physical issues, both my wife and I appreciate having a remote controlled fan that adjusts both up/down and left/right, and a fan speed that lets you select the functions you want without worrying about too much straining body to get to the fan, especially when you are sleepy or sick or both! So I immediately ordered another one for the living room so we can put less strain on our bodies and enjoy the highly adjustable Ozeri Brezza III fan that we will now have in 2 rooms. We don't typically use the oscillating feature of a fan, but we'll love the adjustable nature of this fan to fine-tune where we want the wind, when we want it, and then not with just a remote control. We don't have to get up and even turn him off when we're tired of him blowing us! So I hope we don't wear them out forever and I hope they continue to offer this great value fan when we need more.
